The Davises of Maplebrook

The Davises of Mapelbrook have gathered here in Maine

To spend some time enjoying that which so few can attain

Watching elders reacquaint as distant cousins first meet

I wouldn't have known them earlier if I'd met them on the street!

But now we've recast bonds formed from a hundred years ago

And from now on we'll keep them with us everywhere we go.
