John Yawger Davis

Born October 10, 1848; Died October 4, 1923

John Yawger Davis was born in the town of Aruelius in Cayuga County, New York.  His family consisted of four males and four females but one boy baby and one girl died at birth.  His twin sister was the youngest in the family.  His brother Peter and he were the only ones who married.  Peter had three children only one of whom married.  They had no children so Peter’s descendents died then.  The others in the family never married but John Yawger made up for that by rearing five boys and five girls.

John's parents were Llewellyn Howell Davis (April 23, 1802 to January 10, 1870) and Eliza Ann Yawger (August 23, 1811 to July 25, 1878).
